On 15 February, a delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s national planning commission had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khoi during their working visit in Vietnam from January 16 to February 23.
Two sides discussed and considered the implementation process of transport projects sponsored by ADB in 2012 with Vietnamese partners. Specifically, the subject focused on a set of urban transportation development projects including the ADB’s CTF funded project of Metroline No. 3 with regarding Hanoi’s sustainable public transport development, the project Subway Line No.3 Hoang Mai-Hanoi station; and the project on the construction of water supply system onLang-Hoa Lac highway.
Deputy Chairman Nguyen Van Khoi made suggestions and recommendation with representatives of ADB on financial and technical assistance for the projects, so that the projects could be implemented as scheduled. The ABD’s representatives said that ADB pay a special attention to transport and environment projects in Vietnam generally and those in Hanoi particularly. Therefore, ADB affirmed to positively coordinate with Hanoi’s agencies to prepare for the projects according to Hanoi’s proposal.
