Seoul to Share Experience In Administrative Reform With Hanoi


On May 26th, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung held a meeting with H.E. Park Won Soon, Special Envoy of the President of the South Korea, Mayor of Seoul.

Chairman Chung expressed his pleasure to receive Mayor Park as the Special Envoy of the Korean President.

Presenting the congratulations to people of the South Korea on their new President, he proposed his counterpart support Hanoi’s performance troupe who will come to Seoul on September.

Given the presence of 1,200 Korean companies in Hanoi, the Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee hoped Mayor Park will encourage more enterprises to invest in Hanoi – Vietnam in coming period, especially in infrastructure, tourism, satellite city building, etc. under the utmost support by the city authorities.

He also expected the Korean government and Seoul Metropolitan Government could allow Hanoi businesses to export more goods into the South Korean market and emphasised the desire to collaborate with Seoul in urban planning, traffic planning, administrative reform, smart city.

Approving the ideas by the leader of Hanoi, Mayor Park stated the comprehensive cooperation between the two cities is essential and Seoul is willing to share experience in its strong areas with Hanoi.
