Hanoi promotes cooperation with Western Cape Province (South Africa)


On 11th September, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung received the South African delegation, led by the Provincial Governor of Western Cape (South Africa), H.E Helen Zille.

Expressing her good impression when visiting the capital for the first time, Governor Helen Zille affirmed that the visit would open opportunities for exchanging and learning experiences in various fields such as economy, trade tourism, tourism ... between South Africa and Hanoi, Vietnam.

On the meeting, the Governor also informed the economic strengths of the Western Cape province and expressed his expectation that the cooperation opportunities in related fields with Hanoi Capital will soon be promoted.

Welcoming the visit of the delegation, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee also informed about the socio-economic situation of Hanoi in particular, Vietnam in general. With the motto of "Vietnam wants to make friends with every country in the world", Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with nearly 200 countries. The leaders of Hanoi City hoped that the visit of delegation will create a basis for signing comprehensive cooperation between Hanoi and Western Cape, Cape Town.

In agreement with the proposal from Hanoi, Governor Helen Zille affirmed that it would create conditions for the upcoming cooperation between the two cities
