At the meeting, Ambassador Saadi Salama said that he used to study and work in Vietnam in the 1980s, thus kept a special feeling with Vietnam and see the country as his second hometown. The Ambassador highly appreciated the developing process of Vietnam and impressed with the speed of development of Hanoi city and the living conditions for foreigners in Hanoi. He hoped that the relations between the people of Palestine and Vietnam will continue to enhance in the future and Hanoi will maintain its status as one of the most beautiful capitals in Southeast Asia. Ambassador Saddi Salama also stressed that Hanoi, with an open business environment, is an ideal destination for Palestinian businesses and hoped the city leaders continue to expand opportunities for foreign investment.
Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung agreed with the the Ambassador’s suggestion and affirmed that Hanoi always expand opportunities for foreign investors and enterprises, including Palestinian ones. He noted that the love between the people of Vietnam and Palestine is very special and increasingly being strengthened. Chairman Chung expected that Mr. Saadi Salama, on his position as the Ambassador, will try his best to be a bridge to connect enterprises of the two countries as well as bilateral cooperative activities.
