Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee receives Austrian Ambassador to Vietnam

In the afternoon of November 16th, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung had a meeting with Mr. Thomas Loidl, Austrian Ambassador to Vietnam and representatives of Frequentis AG, an Austrian high-tech company in various areas of communication and information, safety and security, health and medical technologies.

At the meeting, Ambassador Thomas Loidl said that public safety is an issue of high priority in long-term cooperation between Austria and Vietnam, particularly in the form of ODA.

Ambassador Thomas Loidl said that among Austrian companies operating in Vietnam, Frequentis AG is the leading company working with Fire and Rescue Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security to successfully implement the project “Emergency fire Center in Vietnam” - (FDC- Vietnam Phase I). Frequentis AG is currently cooperating with Fire and Rescue Police Department to conduct the second phase of this project.

Mr. Martin Fush, Asia Development Director of Frequentis AG Company said that the company is willing to provide high safety systems and applications for air traffic and public transport safety management (police, fire, ambulance services, maritime, railway). During the meeting, Ambassador Thomas Loidl confirmed to support Frequentis AG for getting necessary financial approval from the Austrian Government to implement this project.

For the willingness of the Austrian ambassador and the leader of Frequentis AG, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung expressed his interest in those issues and affirmed that Hanoi is ready to create all conditions for Austrian investors to acces Vietnam as well as Hanoi.
